Honouring the teaching of Usui

The story of Usui and his students performing Reiki in the ruins of the Great Kanto Earthquake in 1923 has always been the most relevant aspect to me of how to practice Reiki. Present day Reiki has been relegated to massage tables and day spa's. With the horrifying and tragic news of our founders homeland once again being devassted by an earthquake and the additional power of the tsunami I feel that it is more important now to honour our Sensei. I would like to take Reiki out into the real world - off the massage table and into the streets.
Reiki is a powerful transformational path; perhaps too many practitioners forget the importance of the precepts.

Remember Reiki is:
  • The secret method of inviting blessings, the spiritual medicine of many illnesses
  • For the improvement of mind and body
Reiki opens our hearts and reminds us to trust our spiritual connection to each other and the earth. We are not limited or confined by space or time. I am looking for those who wish to join me in taking Reiki off the massage table and into the streets. I am looking for individuals who are interested in building a healthy world community. I am also looking for youth who wish to empower youth.

Feel free to contact me if you would like to help.

In Gassho for Japan

I see so many people being overwhelmed empathically. Remember to stay grounded and not take on their pain and suffering. This keeps a clear reiki flow and keeps you strong so that you can do the work that is so greatly required at this time. Nourish yourself so that you can assist others.
Today I remember to stay grounded; in this way I can be of service to those who cannot
Today I remember to be fearless; in this way I can create a safe space for those in need
Today I remember to be grateful; in this way I can fully open my heart
Today I remember to sit in prayer and meditation sending reiki and reciting the five reiki precepts
